We have devoted our lives to improving the human condition. As advocates we have worked alongside major developments toward the prevention and treatment of disease, and addressing poverty and inequity. Drawing on our diverse experiences in both nonprofits and community driven initiatives, we create an environment for disenfranchised individuals to access basic necessities.

PHASE 1

Travel

Utilizing fundraising tools will allow us to fundraise in order to support the cost of travel. Through Promotion we will create a plan about our role in supporting and welcoming a newcomer family in the United States.
PHASE 2

Basic Necessities

We ensure easy access to groceries and utilities (telephone, electricity, internet) until employment and/or access to benefits is secured. Our intention is to ensure that the newcomer feels acclimated to the US and receives the services our local community provides.
PHASE 3
Health and Mental Health Services
We connect newcomers to necessary health and desired mental health services. Once they have obtained medical assistance, they may need to be
supported in completing health requirements
in addition to access to public or private medical assistance, this will include identifying a primary care physician and other desired health and mental health providers covered through their medical
assistance.

PHASE 5

Cultural Connections

It’s important to feel connected to one’s culture. We will facilitate
cultural connections for newcomers including access to culturally appropriate foods, faith communities, and so much more to help them feel comfortable in their new environment.
REFUGEE SUPPORT

PHASE 4

Education and Childcare

To support newcomers in their educational aspirations we help to enroll all school-aged children in the public education system. We also assist adults looking to learn English as a second language by enrolling them in ESOL classes offered by the local community.
